The following is a schedule of the events where The Bread Beckers will be appearing. CHECK BACK OFTEN, as we will update this page as new events are scheduled. We put everything we are considering (Home School Fairs, Cooking Classes, Seminars, Speaking Engagements) on this page as soon as we can. If you call, we can't give you any more information than this!! PLEASE, if you do not see a particular event on our schedule, just CHECK BACK OFTEN, or SUBSCRIBE to our E-mail List and you will be notified as soon as something comes up! Our schedule can be categorized into four different types of events: Speaking Engagements (Speaking), Home School Curriculum Fairs (Fair) with Workshops, Seminars (Seminar), and Cooking Demonstrations (Demo). Please click on the links if you need more information. NOTE: due to the overwhelming demand for our "In-Store" classes, reservations must be made to attend. For events held at our Woodstock Location, we will confirm all reservations - if you do not receive a confirmation, your reservation has not been received!
Home School Curriculum Fairs - where home schooling families go to buy the books and supplies they need to teach their children at home. We typically demonstrate all the equipment we sell, answer any questions, and hand out lots of FREE food samples (samples made according to the recipes in our Recipe Collection). We also take LOTS of products to sell (including the various wheats and grains in 6 gallon, nitrogen packed buckets); if you have a hard time finding the equipment or supplies in your area, or just don't want to pay the shipping on the bulk goods, these fairs are a great place to stock up on your bread making supplies. Workshop - some of the Curriculum Fairs allow vendors to speak in conference rooms at the fairs. The workshops are generally 1 - 2 hour presentations, depending on the schedules. The word Workshop will appear under the name of the event at the Fairs where Sue will be speaking. Seminars - a two day presentation that includes THE GOSPEL, health and nutritional info, equipment demonstrations, and food cooked on the premises (by US) right from our Recipe Collection. Sue Becker does all the teaching, Brad Becker does all the cooking, and the rest of us help where needed. Speaking Engagements/Lectures (Sue only) - Sue has been asked to speak to certain groups. The topic is typically the Biblical and nutritional aspects of making bread. There are no demonstrations of equipment, no food samples, no products for sale (unless specifically requested by the host). Sue does stay as long as possible to answer questions and fellowship.Cooking Demonstrations - we sometimes offer a free Cooking Demonstration at our Store/Warehouse. We demonstrate most of the equipment we sell, especially the GrainMaster Whisper Mill, Electrolux Assistent, and others. We concentrate on making bread, using the recipes from our Recipe Collection.
