Making the Best of Basics - Family Preparedness Handbook by James Talmadge Stevens

In 1974, more than 35 years ago, I published Making the Best of Basics—Family Preparedness Handbook. Since retiring in 1999, I have often been cajoled by many of my friends, and former distributors and retailers to return Basics to the marketplace. It’s not what I had planned for my future, but neither were the economic conditions this country has faced since the disastrous 911 event. In the new 12th edition, it is written for a generation even further and more remotely separated from the skills of pioneers of America’s frontiers.

In this edition, I share a lot of personal experiences, from whom, where, and how the information for Basics came to me, and what it will do to bring an effective plan for preparedness achievement to the unprepared family. After 35 years of tenure in the family preparedness industry, I have come to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter what causes you to need to be prepared––If you are prepared, you need not fear!

Don't Let Time Run Out on You. Get your copy now, you’ll find it will help you set your family’s preparedness goal(s), enhance your planning, increase your understanding, aid in acquisition of foodstuffs and materials, and ultimately, in the implementation of a preparedness lifestyle that is sustainable and providential for your family.

"I was SO happy to find video classes on line. I live too far away to come to the store. I haven't been baking as much bread as I would like even though I have the wheat/beans, etc/mill/bread maker because I have been unsuccessful in my efforts at making bread that tastes good and is at the right consistency. My family ate my bread but didn't really enjoy it. I watched the entire Bread 101 class and immediately dusted off my appliances and made a terrific loaf of bread following the hints and instructions on the video. I am more confident I will be making our bread instead of giving in to temptation and buying fresh baked store bread for my family. It's great to have this on-line option to learn. Your generosity in providing this information is greatly appreciated."
