Remarks: I have tried several recipes for basic bread, none of which were complete winners. The modified basic bread recipe (begins with a "Z" and I can't remember how it is spelled) is the first bread I can absolutely rave about! I tried the muffin recipe, added blueberries, and voila! great muffins, as well. I love the variety of recipes and can hardly wait to try more. Well worth the modest price of the book. Remarks: Our family of 11 has been enjoying the recipes in this great book for over 12 years. One of my favorites is the Ezekiel Bread for fasting or anytime a real nutritious snack is needed. Our most often used recipes are the Whole Wheat Bread and the Whole Wheat Pancakes/Waffle recipe each weekend. We love the spelt grains for our son who cannot have any wheat. Can't wait for a revised and updated version!

Remarks: This is the best, concise book I've used explaining the whole grains and how to use them. I've used many of the recipes in this book and they're all wonderful. The ABC's of making bread are all contained in this book. When I'm helping someone else get started in grinding their own wheat and baking with it, I tell them to get this cookbook. It's a must have!
