LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This page is being provided as a service to the customers
of The Bread Beckers, Inc. Because the Manufacturer does not have an on-line
document available, we have transcribed the manufacturer’s Owner’s Manual as
faithfully as possible, using the same style and emphasis as much as possible,
adding images of real mills for clarity, adding some formatting and text for
readability on the internet, and deleting the advertising and foreign language
instructions found in the actual document. WE ACCEPT NO LIABILITY OR
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION. If you have a warranty issue, you
MUST read your copy of the Owner’s Manual that came with your mill (order a
new one if you lost it) and/or contact Creative Technologies L.C. We do not
speak for them nor represent them in any issue or legal matter! But, they do
make a very good mill!

HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
The first time your GrainMaster is used, you should mill at least 2 cups of
wheat or other hard grain, discard the flour and clean the canister. This will
eliminate any contaminates the mill may have obtained through the manufacturing
process.
IMPORTANT
Do not turn on with grain in the hopper. Add grain with mill running.
You should avoid SWITCHING OFF your mill DURING its milling CYCLE.
Wait until it has finished milling all of the grain in the hopper before
stopping. Starting the mill with grain in the hopper or stopping the mill while
it is in progress may allow flour to pack in the tube. If you wish to mill a
small amount of flour, add just a small amount of grain.
Remember to use only TRIPLE CLEANED, dry grains. Grains of a lesser
quality may contain foreign objects which could damage your Microburst chamber.
The grain hopper should be UNCOVERED while milling. The storage lid is
to cover the canister when saving milled flour.
This appliance has a POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not modify the plug in any way.
The GrainMaster Whisper Mill has a SELF-CLEANING milling chamber.
DO NOT overfill the flour canister.
REMEMBER: Approximately 8 cups of wheat in the hopper produces 12 cups of
flour. The canister capacity is 8 cups of wheat!
IF your GrainMaster stops running and will not turn on, BE SURE to
check and reset the CIRCUIT BREAKER on the bottom of the mill (next to
where the plug attaches to the machine).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
(NOTE: The
"separator lid" is the lid with the tube. The lid without the
tube is the storage lid. The "air polishing filter" is the round
foam filter that fits on top of the "separator lid". - Jim)
- Clean separator cup and lid, and wipe away all moisture.
- Place the separator cup into position on the underside of the separator lid and
feel it snap into place. The flat side of the cup should be aligned
with the rib on the lid to allow for best canister capacity.

(Proper placement allows the canister to fill above the rim so be careful
when removing the lid or tap the canister first to settle the flour).
- Press the air polishing filter into place on the top of the separator lid.

- Snap the separator lid onto the flour canister and move the curved flour
tube from the storage position to the operating position by rotating it 180
degrees.

- Set the mill and the canister side by side and push the tube into place in
the flour outlet on the mill.
-
Set control knob to desired texture.
Turn the control knob to the center position for medium texture if you’re
milling wheat for the first time, or select the setting you like. This
texture control knob opens and closes the inlet to the milling chamber. It
will need to be on an open or large setting for big kernels like corn but
you will want to use a small setting for fine grains like millet and rice.
Almost the full 180 degree range can be used to vary the texture of wheat
flour.
- Make sure the power cord is plugged in. Turn the mill on.
- Fill the hopper with grain.
Before you use your new GrainMaster, you should mill at least 2 cups of
wheat or other hard grain, discard the flour and clean the canister. This
will eliminate any contaminates the mill may have obtained through the
manufacturing process.
Do not have the storage lid on the mill while it is in operation. The hopper
should be covered only for storage; it should remain open for milling.
- When the mill has finished grinding you will hear a noticeable change in
the way the mill sounds. After the hopper is empty allow the mill to run
four or five seconds. The high speed creates a self cleaning action in the
MicroBurst Chamber.
- After you’ve finished milling and switched off the motor, unplug the
cord from the electrical outlet. Separate the canister from the mill by
pulling the tube straight out of the flour outlet, then you can remove the
lid from the canister. You can use your fresh flour immediately or snap on
the storage lid and use it later.
- If an emergency occurs and you must turn the mill off before the hopper is
empty, rotate the texture knob to the finest setting (nine o’clock), then
switch the mill off. To re-start, turn the mill on, then re-adjust the
texture knob to an open position.
- Cleaning and storage:
We suggest that you clean your lid, separator cup and filter after each use.
All of these can be washed with ordinary soap and water and the plastics are
top-rack dishwasher safe. THE FLOUR TUBE CANNOT BE SEPARATED FROM THE LID;
just rotate it back into position. The hopper and body of the mill can be
wiped clean with a damp cloth. Never immerse the mill in water and don’t
let water run into the MicroBurst chamber from the hopper.
For storage, place the storage lid on the mill hopper and snap it into
place. (OR) With the storage lid on the flour canister, you have a
convenient countertop container.

REMEMBER: the GrainMaster Whisper Mill is for household use
only.
Note:
Notice the tab that guides the cup. Do not place cup over tab. In case tab
breaks off, use the line that remains as a guide to line up cup. (The tab’s
purpose is that of a guide line and is not covered under warranty).
