You may <!--more-->cut this recipe in half to make 1 1\/2 lbs of dough for a standard automatic bread machine. This dough may be used for any of the variations.<\/p>\n<p>2 cups hot water<br \/>\n1\/2 cup oil (1\/3 c. if using egg)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup honey (may use 1\/4 cup)*<br \/>\n3 1\/2 tsp. instant yeast<br \/>\n1 egg (optional)<br \/>\n5 cups freshly milled flour<br \/>\n2 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1 &#8211; 2 Tbs. lecithin (optional)<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. gluten (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Combine water, oil, and honey.\u00a0 Add 3 cups of flour, yeast, salt, lecithin, and gluten.\u00a0 Mix thoroughly.\u00a0 Add the remaining flour and knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 min.).\u00a0 Let rise until double.\u00a0 Shape into loaves or rolls or use any combination of the YEAST BREAD AND ROLL VARIATIONS. Place in greased pans, and let rise again.<\/p>\n<p>For loaves, bake at 350F about 30 min.\u00a0 Makes two 1 1\/2 lb. loaves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FIVE LOAF RECIPE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5 cups hot water<br \/>\n1 1\/4 cups oil<br \/>\n3\/4 cup honey (may use more)<br \/>\n2 1\/2 Tbs. instant yeast<br \/>\n12-13 cups freshly milled flour<br \/>\n5 tsp. salt<br \/>\n1 Tbs. lecithin<br \/>\n1 Tbs. gluten<\/p>\n<p>Combine water, oil, and honey.\u00a0 Add 8 cups of the flour and the yeast, salt, lecithin, and gluten.\u00a0 Mix thoroughly.\u00a0 Add the remaining flour and knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).\u00a0 Let rise until double.\u00a0 Shape into loaves or rolls or use any combination of the YEAST BREAD AND ROLL VARIATIONS.\u00a0 Let rise until double.<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 350F for about 30 minutes for loaves and 400F for 9-10 minutes for rolls.\u00a0 This recipe makes 5 nice size 1 1\/2 lb. loaves or 3 extra large 2\u00a0 1\/2 lb. loaves in our extra long loaf pans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; This recipe makes 3 to 3 1\/2 lbs of bread dough and is too large for most automatic bread machines.
