Remarks: Everyone baking/cooking with whole grains should own this recipe book. It contains simple, valuable, and easy to understand information for baking with whole grains. This recipe book shows you how to bake with whole grains WITHOUT adding white flour to your recipe. I take the binding off the book, put each page in a plastic page protecter sheet, and put the covered pages in a 3-ring binder.

Remarks: I have searched for about 3 years for the "perfect" bread recipe using fresh ground wheat that my family would all eat, and enjoy. I was also looking for a bread loaf that would keep its taste after a day or once frozen. This recipe book contains that and many more bread recipes. If you order a mill and grain, you need to order the cookbook, so you don't get discouraged. You will become hooked using these recipes. I am looking forward to owning other recipe collections that are found on this site.

Remarks: I have tried several recipes for basic bread, none of which were complete winners. The modified basic bread recipe (begins with a "Z" and I can't remember how it is spelled) is the first bread I can absolutely rave about! I tried the muffin recipe, added blueberries, and voila! great muffins, as well. I love the variety of recipes and can hardly wait to try more. Well worth the modest price of the book. Remarks: Our family of 11 has been enjoying the recipes in this great book for over 12 years. One of my favorites is the Ezekiel Bread for fasting or anytime a real nutritious snack is needed. Our most often used recipes are the Whole Wheat Bread and the Whole Wheat Pancakes/Waffle recipe each weekend. We love the spelt grains for our son who cannot have any wheat. Can't wait for a revised and updated version!

Remarks: This is the best, concise book I've used explaining the whole grains and how to use them. I've used many of the recipes in this book and they're all wonderful. The ABC's of making bread are all contained in this book. When I'm helping someone else get started in grinding their own wheat and baking with it, I tell them to get this cookbook. It's a must have!
